Stretch Marks - Marks on skin Due To tissue damage
Wednesday, February 18th, 2009Stretch Mark is unwanted mark on skin, of hue color. They are from of scares on skin. They are treated under special branch of medical science called Dermatology. These stretch marks are not permanent but they even don’t completely disappear with time. There always remain stretch marks on body, but there color becomes dull. So they are not completely visible.
These stretch marks in ladies start appearing often when gave birth to child and in boys when do some stretching exercises in gyms. So it is common misconception between people that stretch marks are result of body growth, or weight loss or gain or due to any stretching exercise.
Stretch marks can appear at any part of body. Only stretching is not the cause for these marks. They are caused due to tearing of tissues beneath epidermis that contains blood, lymph vessels, sweet glands, and nerve endings. Mainly stretch marks appear on softer parts of body or where more fat is stored.
Most common parts in our body where stretch marks can appear are – breasts (organ on chest), arms (underarms, upper arms), body section congaing stomach, thighs, hips, shoulders etc. are some common parts. There is no health risk due to stretch marks but they look ugly seeing.
